The bright, simple space that houses Rudee’s Thai is filled with splashes of color. The environment seems to hint at what the chef is working on in the kitchen—classic Thai dishes featuring a pop of something special, like a traditional spice or an unexpected infusion of heat.

The eatery just opened in January not far from The Athens, making it a convenient place to swing by for dinner. When you do, enjoy a classic dish like the sweet and sour chicken with pineapple, tomatoes, and veggies or the sweet Panang curry with kaffir lime and basil. The chef gets a little more innovative with the signature dishes, such as the spaghetti seafood, a mix of New Zealand mussels, shrimp, flounder, and calamari tossed with fresh pasta, basil, and a handful of other spices.
