Located in Lancaster, the North Museum of Nature and Science has been inspiring "curiosity, discovery, and a lifelong appreciation of nature, science, and culture" since its inception in 1953.

Geared toward younger visitors, the exhibits are hands-on, ensuring that every learning experience is an immersive one. The Explore Nature Gallery exposes families to honey bee hives, live animals, and more. There's even an entire live animals room, where you can meet new friends like lizards, spiders, turtles, and tortoises. Other exhibits include the Dinosaur Gallery, the Rock Box, the Cabinet Museum displaying all sorts of specimens, and the STEAM Gallery. Pencil in a show at the SciDome Theater. Daily shows include everything from the Magic Tree House: Space Mission, One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure, and a Night Sky Tour, among others.

Daily admission prices start at $6 for SciDome shows, and you can pair museum admission and a SciDome show for only $13 for adults. Be sure to head over from The Residences at Ribbon Place the next time it's raining in York!
