One happy patron describes Central Reservation as “a classy cocktail bar that can be casual, too.” It’s a welcome addition to State College, which had previously lacked anything quite like this new spot. And since it’s just a stone’s throw from Toftrees Apartments, you can easily come and enjoy a cocktail and tapas or grab takeout from the eatery on Allen Street.

Sip on the smoky mezcal cocktail punctuated with tart pineapple juice, just one of the bartender’s many original creations. Or try a craft brew, available by the pint and the can, or a glass of fine wine. With your libation, share some apps like the house-made hummus and rock shrimp ceviche, then dig into a Waygu burger, shrimp and grits, or lobster mac and cheese. Note that face coverings are required any time you aren’t seated and eating or drinking, and social-distancing is enforced at Central Reservation.
