Bistrozine might be the only place anywhere near Toftrees Apartments where you can enjoy a meal sitting on a piece of playground equipment. Swings hang from the ceiling at the quirky restaurant, serving as stand-ins for traditional seating at its cute bistro tables. Its menu is just as interesting and unexpected as the decor.

You can make a whole meal out of the small plates, which include bites like bacon cheeseburger dumplings with sweet-and-spicy aioli and Asian-spiced edamame. If you want a larger plate, try one of the rice or ramen dishes, such as the My Mom’s Signature Ramen. It features soy-garlic chicken and mushrooms, seasonal veggies, beef meatballs, and a soy-marinated boiled egg. Sweet treats, specialty teas and beverages, and artisan toasts round out the menu at Bistrozine, which just debuted in July.
