But Dan’s impact goes far beyond business growth. He has built a legacy rooted in family values and a deep commitment to the communities we serve. His passion for giving back is evident in every facet of his work — from his role as Treasurer of YPO’s Philadelphia Chapter and active participation on the JFRE Executive Committee and Jewish Federation Board of Trustees, to his leadership as Vice President of the Benchmark School Board of Trustees and Past President of the Pennsylvania Apartment Association. And perhaps most inspiring of all, Dan founded hope+door, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing homelessness by offering financial assistance to families on the brink of eviction due to unexpected emergencies. His vision for hope+door is a shining example of the difference one person can make when compassion meets action. As a family-run company, Berger Communities has always taken pride in putting people first — and Dan embodies that spirit in everything he does.
