Safe Harbor Park couldn’t have a more fitting name. Its location near the Susquehanna River means it’s quite close to the shoreline, but that’s only part of the reason its moniker is so accurate. The park, quite literally, provides a haven for members of the community, somewhere they can come and get some fresh air while they escape the daily grind.

Living at Millers Crossing, you’re in a great position to visit the park because it’s only about 15 minutes away. Pull on your running shoes and head out to the beloved local park, where a walking trail will welcome you. In winds through meadows, woods, and right along the shoreline at some points. Small signs dole out bits of local history as you go, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to learn more about your community.
