December 22, 2016 – One of Berger Rental Communities favorite fundamentals is #20 – We give back to our communities. In honor of the holiday spirit, BRC delivered hundreds of toys to CHOP for their Holiday Toy Drive and had an overwhelming success. Items delivered to CHOP included baby rattles, craft supplies, baby dolls, and even a PlayStation 4. The donated toys are being sorted through over the next two days and wrapped by volunteer CHOP team members. All patients will receive selected gifts to open this holiday season.  Additionally, a “mall” is set up with some of the most wanted items where the parents of the children are able to “shop” for their child and provide holiday surprises to them without leaving the hospital.  All remaining toys will stock the Child Life Department in order to provide magical moments throughout the year. The Child Life Department is responsible for making minimal resemblance of a hospital stay for each child and provide home like items, activities, and services to the children to minimize their fear and make them feel like home.

Berger Rental Communities is looking forward to a charitable partnership with CHOP in the new year and the BRC team members just could not wait to help!
