Root Down Brewing decided to embrace the industrial-chic aesthetic when it opened in June. Brewmasters work within full view of the tap room, separated only by sections of chain-link fence. On the walls, artfully spray-painted murals bring the urban vibes. The colorful space is a fun place to grab local suds and New American apps and sandwiches only 5 miles from Royersford Gardens.

Root Down's brewers are constantly creating new suds, so check out the tap list every time you visit, even if you have a favorite. You may see options like the Cosmic Brownie chocolate milk stout, the Stay Gold golden Saison, and the Flavor Crystals double IPA. Stone & Key provides cider and wine, too. Pair your chosen libation with something inventive from the food menu, such as house-made guacamole, a pulled pork sandwich, or a bratwurst with beer-braised sauerkraut.
