For a little over ten years Black Walnut Winery has been creating some of the most decadent wines in the area, and you can give them a taste at their Tasting Room on Bridge Street in Phoenixville, just moments from Stone Gate Woods.

Here, wines range from crisp sauvignon blanc to a medium-bodied Merlot, as well as fruit wines and port. The best way to try Black Walnut's wines is to stop by the tasting room for an event. Every month they host Painting Under the Influence, where you get to paint your very own wine glasses in a class led by a local artist. The next event is February 16th and runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and costs $25 per person for the art portion. You do have to buy wine separately, and can either bring your own food or buy one of their tasty cheese plates.

Additionally, the month of February boasts special wine and chocolate pairings. They’ll be offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. through February 26th. You do have to make your reservation by the Friday prior at 5 p.m. so they can get the chocolates from Bridge Street Chocolates. You’ll try five wines, paired with five decadent chocolates for the ultimate wine tasting experience.
