Steve Berger
Founder As a founding Partner, Steve has witnessed the growth and sophistication of a company that never waivers in holding onto its core values and purpose while becoming increasingly innovative in developing more techniques to provide exemplary service while effectively managing its finances. Steve is very proud that Berger Rental Communities has been able to transform its operations from one that relied on the professionalism of a handful of staff to one that thrives on the daily commitment of almost more... one hundred team members who work together to provide thousands of residents with housing experiences that exceed expectations. Steve graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Accounting. After a short stint as an Accountant with Touche Ross and Company and serving in the Military, he joined his brother Jim in developing this company. He has been a licensed Real Estate Salesperson since 1978. Steve has been married to his wife, Ilene, since 1973 and is proud of his three children and his grandchildren. He spends much of his leisure time involved in a multitude of Philanthropic activities and is proud of the charitable commitment of Berger Rental Communities and its team members. He also enjoys following local sports teams, working out, and traveling. ^ hide

Dan Berger
President Dan is continually seeking ways to create memorable experiences for each resident. He believes that Berger Rental Communities' success lies with the personal touch its' employees put in their job and the overall Company's focus to retain residents for life. In his role, Dan is energized by his work to improve Company operations. He appreciates the opportunity that he has to improve the daily lives of thousands of residents, and more... he values working with a team of over 85 employees who all genuinely care about the welfare of the residents. After Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, he returned home to the Philadelphia area and attended graduate school at Temple University where he obtained his JD and MBA. After becoming licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Dan found his true calling in property management when he joined the Berger Rental Communities' team in 2005. Outside of carrying out the Purpose and Values of Berger Rental Communities, Dan enjoys running and following Philadelphia sports teams. Dan enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Ashly and the rest of his family. ^ hide

Michael Licata
Chief Financial Officer After successfully holding positions in healthcare, service, distribution, retail, and manufacturing industries, Michael's career in property management began when he joined the Berger Rental Communities team in 2008 as Chief Financial Officer. Michael is glad that he has found a career in property management because he loves the ever-changing landscape of the industry and the challenges he conquers on a daily basis. more... He also enjoys all the people that he meets and works with every day. Michael does a phenomenal job working within the financial and operations aspects of the Company because he truly values and appreciates the positive impact that he has on the lives and homes of Berger Rental Communities' residents. Outside of the office, Michael loves to read and follows sports of all kinds. Being a graduate of LaSalle University, Michael is a loyal supporter of LaSalle University's basketball team. ^ hide

Doreen Piacitelli-Rozman
Regional Property Manager, Montgomery and Lancaster Counties Prior to joining Berger Rental Communities in 2008, Doreen started her career in property management in 1994 with a temporary position at a local apartment community while attending college. As a Regional Property Manager, Doreen ensures that the expectations of her residents are exceeded. In addition to a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, she holds a Certified Apartment Manager designation from more... the National Apartment Association, has a Real Estate Sales License, and is a National Apartment Association Education Institute Advanced Instructor. Doreen was also a facilitator for several years at MultiFamilyPro's Annual Brainstorming. What Doreen loves most about her career with Berger Rental Communities is the Company's commitment to its employees and residents, and the interaction that she has with people on a daily basis. Doreen loves to solve problems while creating great and memorable experiences for her team and her residents. Outside of working, this New York native loves boating, shopping, and watching baseball, especially since she is an avid Yankees' fan. ^ hide

Tonaus John
Regional Property Manager, Centre County As the Regional Property Manager for State College communities, Tonaus is responsible for all operations including leasing and maintenance of Toftrees and Vairo Village Apartments. Prior to joining Berger Rental Communities in 2007, Tonaus served as a Community Manager in Chicago, Illinois. His previous experience has been in the Hotel and Restaurant Management industry which included managing more... daily operations of hotel chains like Hilton, Wyndham and Interstate groups of hotels. Tonaus, a Certified Accredited Resident Manager, is currently on his way to receiving a Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
